CAPSYS CAPTURE: Low-Cost, Web-Based Document Capture
CAPSYS CAPTURE is the first true enterprise distributed capture system built for the Internet. CAPSYS
CAPTURE was
designed from the very beginning to be distributed. In late 1999, while other capture
companies were focused on thick capture clients and proprietary scanning hardware, we had a vision
of capturing documents from anywhere in the world with an easy to deploy web-based capture client.
As browser technology matured and internet bandwidth increased, we came to believe that the thin
client capture application could be the main capture application. We have since focused on building
production capture features into our thin CAPSYS CAPTURE client previously only available in traditional,
expensive production Windows clients.
The Thin Advantage
The CAPSYS CAPTURE Client packs plenty of production capture features into a thin browser-based application
that is easily deployed to any desktop in the world with an internet connection and a browser. Documents
can be scanned with any TWAIN scanner or imported from the desktop (examples would include emails, Word and
Excel documents, etc.). Getting documents from their source into a repository is a snap. Documents are
securely transmitted from the CAPSYS CAPTURE client to the CAPSYS CAPTURE Server one at a time, or in bulk
over a secure internet connection. CAPSYS CAPTURE truly is Web-Based Capture, Anytime, Anyplace!
Internet Distributed Capture
CAPSYS CAPTURE does so much more than just remote scanning and uploading of documents from distributed
locations. It allows people in different locations around the world to work together to accomplish

Quillix Web Capture is the first true enterprise capture system built for the
Internet. Jointly developed by IDT and Prevalent Software, Quillix provides a low-cost capture solution using desktop scanners
and XML-based Internet forms completely within the Web-browser interface.
Quillix Fax is an input module that works with the Quillix Server to automatically capture faxes and accompanying indexing information
from selected fax mailboxes within a Captaris ( RightFAX ) enterprise fax server. Each processed fax is converted to a batch and routed
